About the Founder, Nakeyta Moore
Nakeyta Moore is dedicated to building a more diverse and inclusive fine art world by amplifying creative voices across the African diaspora. Her work as a curator and advisor is driven by a passion for bridging artists, collectors, and communities, fostering deeply-rooted relationships and sustainable practices in the fine art market.
In addition to her work in the arts, Moore also leverages her expertise as a Financial Representative partnered with Northwestern Mutual. This unique combination of skills allows her to bring a holistic perspective to her work, helping individuals build sustainable wealth, plan their legacy, and strategically invest in the cultural assets they value.
Today, her curatorial practice is focused on creating platforms that give visibility to emerging talent. Her exhibitions, such as the "My Homies" international exhibition at Valence Projects in DTLA and the "The Things That Bind Us" public art exhibition with non-profit SaveArtSpace, explore themes of home, community, and the forces that connect us across varied perspectives. In 2023, she also served as a muse for artist Thomas J. Price's Beyond Measure exhibition in collaboration with Hauser & Wirth.
Through ARTLOUDLA, Moore works to advance the economic empowerment of the "Black dollar within and beyond arts patronage," actively campaigning for stronger industry regulations. Her advocacy pushes for heightened standards around ethical collecting, transparent appraising, responsible conservation, and fair reselling practices. .
Whether assisting clients with financial planning or producing culturally significant art-led events, Moore's mission is to empower individuals to achieve their goals and reimagine how we support our dynamic, evolving creative economy.
